“Below is a rundown of the drum gear available at Thornlea Studios. Each kit, snare, cymbals, and piece of recording equipment has been carefully selected for its tone, reliability, and versatility in the studio. This collection allows us to cover a wide range of styles while keeping the focus on capturing great performances.”

I’ve been a Natal artist since 2019, and I play two of their incredible kits: a Maple Originals and a Zenith. The Maple Originals is built with 7-ply maple shells, giving it balanced resonance, bright highs and rich lows, and my setup is a 22×18 kick, 12×7 rack tom, and 16×16 floor tom — versatile and great for both live shows and recording.

The Zenith kit is a homage to classic 1960s drums with thin, resonant 3-ply maple-ash-maple shells, maple reinforcing rings, and elegant low-mass tube lugs. My Zenith setup is a 22×16 kick, 12×8 rack tom, and 16×16 floor tom, delivering warm tones, deep low end, and broad tuning adaptability that suits jazz, pop, and rock alike.

Both kits offer a versatile, recording-ready sound that adapts effortlessly to different styles and playing situations — which is exactly why I trust them in every session and performance.

Crafted by the family-run B20 bronze specialists Ephesus, this cymbal collection offers unmatched versatility, delivering rich, musical tones for both studio sessions and live shows.

I use **sE Electronics** microphones in my setup, primarily through their **Arena Pack**, which gives me a versatile, all-in-one solution for live performance and recording. The pack includes high-quality condenser and dynamic mics that deliver clear, natural sound across drums, cymbals, and other instruments.

I rely on the Arena Pack for its consistency and ease of use — it’s compact, reliable, and perfect for capturing every nuance of my kit, whether in the studio or on stage. The combination of sE’s precision engineering and the convenience of the Arena Pack makes it a cornerstone of my drum recording setup.

I use **Remo drum heads** across all my kits for their reliability, tone, and consistency. Their wide range of heads allows me to tailor the sound of each drum — from warm, resonant kicks to crisp, articulate snare and tom tones.

Remo heads are a key part of my setup, providing durability for both studio sessions and live performances while maintaining the sound quality I rely on for every gig and recording.
